This tub provides 1 gallon of a ready mixed mortar that has primary use as the mortar used to set fire bricks when building fireplace fireboxes. It is perfectly suited for sealing masonry-to-masonry joints that under 1/4″ thick. It can also be used to coating or resurfacing fire bricks that has been damaged. The mortar must be heat cured but after curing it can withstand temperatures of up to 2000° F. When cured it is a buff color.
